JORFOR BJORNSSON

Born on the island of Dýrøy, in the Troms area of Northern Norway.

Jorfor had an extremely hard up-bringing. He learned the craft of the hunter and trapper, which he took to with great and uncanny skill, soon surpassing all others in his village with his woodcraft.

He went ‘Viking’ many times in his youth - he was a powerful and savage raider, stopping in many of the Norse strongholds. Whilst in these places he “sowed many seeds”, and so has ended up with children from many places within the Norse realm. Jorfor earned his legend in his youth, which is retold in the saga of JORFOR AND THE ICE BEAR.

Later in his life, after spending time in the cities of Jorvik and Lundane, and speaking to the many people he met there he decided to become a trader, as raiding was a task for younger men.
